Who is a candidate for leg aesthetics surgery?
Patients with any deformity (bow leg, thick leg, thin leg, thickness-thinness of knee circumference, etc.) in the area between the knee and the ankle may be candidates for leg aesthetics operation.
How is the procedure performed?
Surgery can be performed under local anaesthesia with sedation or general anaesthesia. Depending on the needs of the patient, problems in the knee or ankle can be fixed with liposuction and/or fat injection. If there are problems in the leg area relating to thinness and/or bow leg, these can be corrected with silicone implants, fat or filler injection. For patients with thick legs, liposuction or muscle resection may be performed.
Patients are often discharged on the same day or the following day. You can have a shower the following day. Patients can return to their daily lives within the first week, can do light exercises after two weeks, and heavy exercises can be delayed up to two months according to the technique of operation.
